Studio Calicoola treats clothing as a surface for original illustration.

The starting point is always the drawing — mythology, historical reference, Goddess imagery, and whatever else refuses to stay quiet. These drawings are then translated into fabric and cut into garments that prioritise presence over blending in.

The work is intentional, extremely limited, and made for people who want to stand out while carrying the weight of the source material. Calicoola believes in slow fashion so we do not overproduce anything, all pieces are made in extremely small numbers and most pieces include recycled or deadstock material. In this age of AI, where art is generated in seconds, Calicoola stands proudly in saying that we dedicate days creating a single artwork because true art can only come through human imagination and touch. In this over saturated market, we like to contribute with something truly unique and one of a kind.
